The crew leader "must-haves":
- Commitment to lead by example
- Good communication and reading skills
- Tech savvy
- In good physical shape able to lift 50lbs
- Knowledge and skill operating a track loader, mini excavator, truck and trailer
- Knowledge of planting, pruning, grading, drainage, irrigation, and planting best practices.
- Strict commitment to safety
- Valid NCDL and clean record
- English/spanish preferred

Responsibilities include:
- Daily digital time sheet submission
- Crew training
- Job specification implementation
- Transporting crews safely between jobsites
- Managing work flow, i.e, receiving materials, equipment, communicating with sub contractors and vendors
- Enforce Groundsmith policies and procedures
- May assist other crews
- Snow work in winter (operating plows, etc.)
- Overtime
