- No matter how many trays and pots you have it’s always good to have a few extra. Makes sense to re-use any plastic cartons, toilet rolls or food containers you pick up with the food shop. Never know when your going to need them.

Potting table/shelf up and running. It’s the small things in life they say and it’s so true. First time using it today and so happy with how it turned out. All made with scaffolding & decking boards which I already had. Used shelf brackets to fix it to the shed with some extra bits of wood underneath and side for some support. The green potting tray is my gift to me this month. I won’t show you the rest of the shed 🫣 I’m still in the process of making it work for me. Finally got to sow some seeds today and it really does feel like the growing season has started. Happy growing everyone ☺️

Photo taken 2021. Can’t wait for this season to really kick in. Just looking back at photos of the garden from year’s previous and it’s really got me excited. Bring on 2023 growing season. What are you planning to grow this year?

I’m back at the kitchen table going through my seeds. I haven’t yet sown one seed. I will be sowing seeds this week but I have had moments of panic when I see people on here with seedlings germinating. I know I just need to trust the process. Still love going through my notes and reading books to get inspiration and guidance. I would totally recommend Huw Richards ‘Veg in One Bed’ book. It was one of my first books and it really did help me get started. My potting table has now been built in the shed so I can’t wait to get sowing seeds this weekend. Roll on the weekend 🌱

Finally getting a chance to finalise my plan for the year in the garden. After ordering more seeds in (even though I probably didn’t need them but couldn’t stop myself), I will be focusing on when I will be sowing the seeds for the whole year. My garden diary will be used to enter the sowing dates and I will also use it as my journal for any notes on how the growing season is going. This is always a great idea, so you can look back after the year. At the end of the year I’ll show you how the diary goes. Will also be drawing a final plan for the raises beds to help me through the seasons so I can keep track on where I will be planting out when the time is ready.
