The progress 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I made my first stuffie for my daughter 4 years ago. I freehanded her this sweet teddy bear, and even though it looks wonky, she has kept it this whole time.

Over the years I have pushed myself to try different patterns, learn different stitches, freehand some things, and know when to consult a written pattern for help or my crochet guides.

It wasn't always easy. I gave up on a few projects along the way. But thats the thing about consistency. Knowing when you reach your limits, taking a break, and getting back in the game.

I love that she kept that wonky bear, and appreciates my not so great work. For comparrison, the second picture is the most recent stuffie I made for her.

Another butterfly crop top, this one made with Trans pride flag colors.

Yarn is from Prismatic Fiber and Artistry and I lovvvvvvve it so much. ( You always do a great job!) I had just enough yarn to make this top 🤣 I won yarn chicken this time

Girl! You mean to tell me, I made this with just yarn, a hook, my brain and my hands?! I didn't think I could pull this off. Already working on more. I need some of those long coat hangers to display them. I dont know what they're called or if they even exist, but it's like a normal hanger just with a longer bust/torso area. I took my yarn with me yesterday to my sons 5th grade promotion ceremony. While us parents waited, someone stopped me and was admiring my work. I love those moments. We talked a bit, and I handed them my business card to find me on social media. I hope they do, if so, say "Hi"!! I hope they get to see the finished product because this is my favorite hat I've ever made. I attempted to freehand a cute, trendy bucket hat, but it ended up being more like a summer/sun hat, and I gotta say, I'm not even mad about it. It's so beautiful, and fun. It's hard to let a piece like this go, but I know it is meant to be loved by someone else.
