How to Use Wool Pellets in Soil Blocks:
Mixing: Start by soaking your wool pellets in water. This will help them break up and make it easier to mix them in with you soil mix. Once they are broken down mix them in with your usual soil blocking ingredients. A ratio of about 1:12 wool pellets to soil mix works well for me.
Hydrate: Add water gradually to the mixture until it reaches a consistency where it holds together when squeezed but is not too wet.
Form Blocks: Use a soil blocker to form the blocks. The wool pellets help retain moisture, so you may need to add slightly less water than usual.
Plant Your Seeds: Plant your seeds directly into the soil blocks. The wool pellets will break down and provide nutrients as your seedlings grow.
