Y’all, can we talk about virtual consultations for a hot minute?
I know what you’re thinking - “How can a designer really understand my space through a screen?”
But here’s what this client discovered: sometimes the magic isn’t about being physically in the room. It’s about truly LISTENING and understanding what you need your space to do for you.
Through our virtual consultation, we:
✨ Identified their real pain points (not just surface-level wants)
✨ Created actionable solutions they could implement right away
✨ Gave them confidence to move forward with their vision
The best part? No travel time, no scheduling conflicts, and they got the same personalized attention from the comfort of their own couch.
Ever considered a virtual design consultation? What’s holding you back - drop it below and let’s problem-solve together! 👇

You know that feeling when you walk into a room and something just feels… wrong… but you can’t figure out what?
It’s usually one of these three things — and none of them require a big budget.
Your rug is too small. If it looks like a postage stamp floating in the middle of your room, that’s your problem. Front legs of your furniture should be ON the rug. It grounds the space and makes everything feel intentional.
Your art is hung too high. The center of your art should sit at eye level — roughly 57–60 inches from the floor. Not up near the ceiling like y’all are decorating a cathedral. 😅
Your lighting is too harsh. Overhead lights only = cold and uninviting, no matter what else you do. Layer in some lamps. Create ambiance.
These aren’t expensive fixes. They’re smart fixes.
Which one is your space guilty of? 🫣 My money’s on the rug…

You know what separates 3-star Airbnbs from 5-star favorites?
Not the price point. Not the location. Not even the fancy coffee maker (though that helps).
It’s the thoughtful design choices that show you actually CONSIDERED the guest experience.
Furniture that’s genuinely comfortable. Not just pretty - “I slept so well” comfortable. This is where most hosts cheap out and it SHOWS in reviews.
Lighting that creates ambiance. Turn off those overheads. Layer your lamps. Create warmth instead of that harsh “doctor’s office” vibe.
A layout that actually functions. Where can they set down their suitcase without blocking the door? Hang their coat? Move around without bumping into furniture?
One corner worth photographing. Give them something beautiful they’ll want to share. That’s free marketing right there.
Storage that makes sense. Hooks, shelves, drawer space that isn’t full of YOUR stuff. Let them actually unpack and settle in.
These aren’t luxury upgrades. They’re strategic design choices that show you understand what guests actually NEED.
I’ve worked with Airbnb hosts at every budget level. The ones who consistently get 5-star reviews? They nail these five things.
The ones who struggle? They focused on looking good instead of FUNCTIONING well.
Your guests don’t just care if your space looks like a magazine. They care if it feels like someone thought about their comfort.
