Woodland Garden Project progress. Mulch added to accentuate the paths. Camellias and Encore Azaleas putting on a show. Fall blooming perennials hanging on through our ever-changing temps.

Fun container updates! Looking for varieties that could withstand the extended heat and drought this season proved challenging. Thankfully these varieties stood up to the test. More to come as I check in on our plantings this week. Lots of rain recently to help offset the soaring temps makes this gardener very happy!

This owner could not get much to thrive in this bed. She reached out to see if we could help brainstorm some solutions. We removed the old mulch, the existing plant material, and addressed the soggy conditions with various soil amendments. After adding plant material that is low maintenance, we mulched again. There remains a small space available in the middle for a pop of color in the spring or bulbs if the homeowner wishes.
