Responding to the landscape and local vernacular, the project incorporates regionally sourced Oakley stone, quarried in southern Idaho. The silver-grey stone reflects and complements the surrounding sagebrush in spring and summer, as well as the snow in winter.

Timber defines the interior at Snake River Valley, from oak-lined walls to bespoke joinery crafted throughout. A timber-clad bunk room extends the material language, while a muted, natural palette allows the warmth of the wood to take centre stage. Throughout the home, timber softens the boundary between inside and out, drawing the surrounding landscape gently indoors.
