Atmospheric depictions of the Thames River in West London by Julian Trevelyan and James McNeill Whistler inspired the mood of Upper Mall's living room.

Soft “Lichen” walls by , earth-toned furnishings, and a custom curvilinear sofa create a quiet dialogue with the shifting light outside. An chandelier and custom oak shelves lend a structural touch.

Speckled terrazzo, veined marble, wood, flowers. In the Rosedale primary bath, an unexpected mix of materials creates a segue to retreat.

A 360-degree sweep of cool stone and terrazzo sets the tone, while the marble-tiled vanity meets the warmth of hand-carved wood and fresh florals from our clients.

Xàbia’s local markets offer a world of inspiration: antiques with soul, vintage furniture scores, and ceramics, textiles, and glassware crafted by local makers who keep age-old techniques alive.

Topped off with fresh produce, snacks, and seasonings that celebrate local flavours. Our co-principal, .selway shares a couple of her favourites in our latest newsletter.

We’ve had the privilege of introducing projects that reflect the heart of our practice in 2025: creative collaborations with makers and artists, the intimate unveiling of Tanya’s Jersey Road home, and designs that stay true to our love for expressive materials.

Thank you to our clients, collaborators, and to you, our community, for a truly fantastic year.

Cheers to the bold ideas and beautiful spaces to come. 🥂

In Upper Mall, we drew from our clients’ heritage and travels across Asia to design these custom shōji-style sliding doors. Hand-fabricated in wood frames with h**p linen panels, they soften space-to-space transitions.

Swipe to explore the shōji motif in London's Upper Mall, and find more of the project on our site (link in bio).

"It's about the full kaleidoscope of colour." – Co-principal Tanya Selway

The year ahead will continue to be shaped by colours with presence and personality – whether that means a striking sense of refrain, or a bold sense of passion.

Swipe to explore tones that have struck our fancy, and made it into our projects this past year. From mustard yellows to rusty reds to restful hunter greens, these palettes pack a punch and bring a room to life.

Pictured: adoquin stone. Volcanic ash compressed over millions of years into a durable, lightweight stone with earthy tones, perfect for patterned surfaces, floors, and decorative facades.

In our Rosedale project, it brings a brutalist edge to the living room fireplace— a nice contrast against the rest of the wood-clad home.
