Another GF Melbourne rec! have an entirely gluten free menu, including battered fish and prawn tacos đŸ€© so I obviously had to try both! As well as the taco al pastor - a spiced pork situation. All the tacos were seriously loaded with the fillings and super tasty. We also tried the chilaquiles and the flan; everything was delicious đŸ€€

Pillowy soft GF gnocchi - surprisingly easy to make in bulk if you’re not fussed about running them over a fork or gnocchi board to get the ridges! You can add your favourite pasta sauce to these after just boiling them or pan fry them to get them a little bit crisp đŸ€€

The recipe is also in my first cookbook, The Very Hungry Coeliac đŸ«¶

400g cold cooked potatoes, peeled and passed through a ricer/masher
80g my GF plain flour
40 g finely grated parmesan
œ tsp salt
⅛ tsp cracked black pepper
rice flour, to dust

Knead the flour, Parmesan, salt and pepper into the mashed potato with your hands. Roll the dough into logs, cut into 2cm pieces and add to gently boiling, salted water. After a minute or two, the gnocchi will float to the surface. They’re cooked once they’ve been floating for 30-40 seconds or so. Remove them with a slotted spoon and add to your pasta sauce.

All you can eat GF fried chicken?! 😍 I really enjoyed Bird Bang’n Chicken. All the fried food is GF so dedicated fryers. I’m definitely going back to try the rest of their menu, because the wings were scrumptious. They’re located just off Lygon St in Brunswick East!

“Snickers” cheesecakes đŸ€€ I’ve been making piles of these as part of my collab with and they’ve been crazy popular.

The base is a homemade chocolate cookie crumb crust and the cream cheese mixture is topped with chocolate ganache, butterscotch sauce, peanuts and chocolate shavings. They’re DELICIOUS if I do say so myself đŸ€­

With MasterChef airing a new season this week, I can’t help but reflect on all that’s happened since my own time on the show. I’m so grateful for the doors that opened for me. That’s not to say I haven’t worked hard but there’s absolutely no doubt that MasterChef kickstarted my dream life in a huge way.

Not only did I meet amazing people and learn loads, I was also connected with an entire community of gluten-free people who rallied behind me in support. And that continued in a huge way even after I was eliminated.

My first bestselling cookbook has now been printed in FOUR editions which is mental. My second book came out last year and I get messages and photos of my recipes from readers nearly every day. I’ve done demos and events in Melbourne, Sydney, Birmingham and London. There’s been TV and radio, and now my third cookbook has just gone off to print. Sometimes it still feels too good to be true.

To the contestants this year, good luck. It’s hectic and stressful but also amazing, and it can open doors you might never have imagined 💕 To anyone reading, thank you for the support. Genuinely, none of this would have happened without the love from this community.

GF Chinese in Melbourne! At Robomao 👏 These guys take gluten free seriously. I was offered a GF menu before even saying I was coeliac and then they brought out a different plate/cutlery set so that they would know who at the table needed the GF dishes.

There’s a full menu of starters and mains for us. We tried the Mongolian beef and honey chicken (both delicious) as well as the pork xiu mai, fried wontons, and wonton soup. Overall, super impressed at their dedication and level of understanding! 🙌
