The Bible tells us the word of God is alive and active (Hebrews 4:12) and I would love nothing more than to add the supernatural work of the Lord to my pieces. I also love that Isaiah 55:11 says “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” That is my prayer for each

painting- that His Word will be placed where it’s meant!

Hello friends! 👋🏻

I’m so excited to announce that I will be teaching art lessons this summer. 🎨🖼👩‍🎨

It will be a small group lesson where I connect with each individual one-on-one, and also teach everyone at times as a whole.

WHEN:
Lessons will be every Saturday morning starting June 1st, and go through the entire month (5 lessons available).

TIME:
9am-11:30am
Coffee and cinnamon rolls will be ready for you upon arrival 😊☕️🥮

WHERE:
My home (also affectionately known to me as The Cozy Studio 🏠❤️). Message me for details.

WHO/WHAT:
I, Krista, will be your instructor. This class will be for painting. We will use acrylics, go over the basics, and learn different techniques. All materials will be provided (paint, canvas, brushes, etc.).

All ages and skill levels welcomed (although recommended ages would be 9 years - 110 years old 😉) You need only bring yourself! **Wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on although we aren’t going to be doing anything too crazy 😛💗

It will be laid back and lovely! Sipping coffee and being creative. You’ll want to do this every Saturday morning! We can keep building up your skills until you feel comfortable creating your own masterpiece. 💘

The price is $60 per class, or $50 per class if you sign up for the entire month.

Most joyful little church painting I ever did see/paint!

It’s Wednesday! My kids get SO EXCITED when I tell them it’s a church day. I praise God for that! If you don’t have church, message me and I can tell you about mine and see if you’d like to join me. 😊

Good morning! ☕️

“The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.” Psalm 34:7

What an amazing verse for believers (those who fear the Lord) to remember! Praise God for His protection and deliverance. Who knows how many times (seen and unseen) He and his angels have delivered us from harm! Probably many, even in the last couple of days. Thank you, Lord!! 🔥🔥🔥

Goood morning 🥰🍁☕️🍂🧡🧡🧡!
Today is officially the first day of fall!! I’m loving this weather. It’s made my coffee taste extra good and my music selection for the morning random (SHeDAISY 😆 throwback!!).

I painted this a piece a couple of weeks ago with the anticipation of autumn around the corner. I didn’t really plan for it to look like this at all... I was in fight with myself about using neutral colors, but my spirit felt too happy! This morning when I saw and felt the weather, I thought the colors I used to welcome fall seemed to match, so I took a photo of the painting outside 😊

The verse that kept coming to my mind was “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens..” Ecclesiastes 3:1. This verse reminds me that like the weather, the seasons of our lives change. To be patient and joyful through it all, as there will be new times ahead- be it sorrow or happiness, it’s never permanent, BUT there is a continuous, deep, peaceful joy for those of us who have salvation in Christ Jesus. (Take heart, He works ALL things for the good of those that love Him! Romans 8:28)

Good afternoon 🍂⛪️🌝
I got some more paint time in today during Josephine’s nap! This may be my favorite most recent painting. Abstract neutrals and metallics on a nice sized canvas.

Today’s verse reference is Galatians 6:10 “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

I love this verse! As believers we are supposed to love and do good to everyone... but “especially” to other Christians. Our love and care for one another is what will draw in the lost! Not arguments or harsh Facebook opinions that are not written in love. Our gentleness is to be evident to all. We are to be BOLD as lions, wise as serpents, BUT gentle as doves 🦁🕊❤️

I want to love my fellow brother and sisters in Christ better so I can radiate the goodness of Christ to the world ✨🤍✨

Good morning 🍁☕️❤️

Here’s a little painting I did over the weekend. I was feeling the neutral tones with hints of metallic gold. Distressed in the best way... like a good, loved, studied bible. I hope my church attendance and love for the Lord would look the same- worn, but golden.

I chose 1 Peter 5:6 for this painting’s verse reference. “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” Such an encouraging reminder.

So many times in my life PRIDE (opposite of humility) has held me back. Pride blocks blessings. Humility is the key to a Holy Spirit filled life. There are SO many great verses on humility- and Lord knows I need the reminder often! If you’ve been feeling stale in your relationship with God, ask Him to reveal a possible blind spot in your life that is covered in pride. Seek Him with all your heart and desire to change this. “God opposes the proud and gives GRACE to the humble.” Don’t wait until He humbles you (because it ain’t fun, trust me!! 🤪🤪🤪).

Also a fun fact, my family and I have an obsession with looking up our “birthday bible verse”. My birthday is May 6th... so I like to look in whatever book I’m reading for Chapter 5 verse 6. That’s why I love this verse in 1 Peter!! Maybe if you’re looking for something to read today in His Word, look up your birthday verse and pick your favorite scripture after scanning a few books!! (I usually start in Matthew. I also love Matthew 5:6 because it’s part of the Beatitudes!!)

I’ll go ahead and officially post the first painting for this “studio” ☺️

During this crazy/scary/unknown time in history I think we could all use a little (a lotta) more of Psalm 91. It has been bringing peace to our family. My husband reads it often. I’d like to memorize it. I’ve at least got the first verse down, which is referenced in this piece.

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1

I hope it will bring you peace and comfort as well, and end up in the home it’s meant to. 🙏🏻
