(William) Billy Cowe was well know in the Borders area and beyond. Running a successful painting and decorating business and with 50 years experience, he worked on so many projects from the largest mansions all the way down to fairy doors. Billy was 'old school' having gained his City in Guilds increasing his skill set through the years, achieving prestigious and highly respected standards of craftsmanship. From hand graining, restoration from churches to teak windows, extraordinary wall coverings and being involved in the set of The Buccaneers, he certainly had one of the most diverse portfolios. Undoubtedly when Billy was involved in a project only the highest standards would do. He served as a mentor to apprentices, instilling his strong work ethic in the craftsmen of tomorrow.
Billy had a deep love for his community and actively supported various local charities. BARK is honoured to have received donations made in his name.
