Onada’s founder, James O’Brien has over 10 years experience in design across a spectrum of fields including architecture, interiors, furniture & indus

trial. James was born in Melbourne and grew up in country Victoria. Inspired by his travels and passion for cutting edge design, James wants to develop beautiful products with an ergonomic twist. Onada’s products are globally conceptualised, locally developed and manufactured, and the principles of sustainability are applied with all our endeavours. The Siesta Chair is Onada’s inaugural product, and it is with this item that we are truly proud to use to launch our name into the realm of specialised furniture retail … but its also the first of many exciting ideas on the horizon. A stylish and ergonomic recliner, Onada Siesta Chair allows the user to select a sitting position that suits their mood or choice of activity, by using their own centre of gravity to effortlessly glide to one of the three positions; Sitting, Reading or Siesta. As well as being perfect for a nap, Onada's siesta position raises the users feet above their heart, providing fantastic circulatory health and well-being benefits. Our chair’s design is influenced by the cultural habits found within the Balearic islands , and ‘Onada’ means wave from Majorca, one of the three islands within this region of the Mediterranean Sea. Onada represents the roots of its own creation, whilst also emulating the journey and soul of a wave.
