【Analysis of the current situation of refugee shelters and measures for improvement】

In the border area between Cambodia and Thailand, many people have been forced to flee their homes due to armed conflict.

As architects, what can we do now?

Based on photographs from the site, we observed and analyzed life in the evacuation areas, and organized the ingenuity and challenges we observed in daily life. We also collected and excerpted materials related to refugee shelters in Japan, and compiled hints that could be applied to the local situation.

This is our mission and declaration as architects.

Without safety, neither comfortable living nor dignified life can be sustained.
It may be difficult for individuals alone to stop the conflict.
However, if each of us brings together what we can do and works together, we can certainly take a step toward improving the current situation.

We sincerely hope that this vision spreads, and that the day when those displaced can return to their peaceful lives comes as soon as possible.

【ARCHITECTURE CAPSTONE PROJECT- FINAL PRESENTATION】

I attended the last presentation of CAPSTONE PJ, which I have accompanied for 8 months since last November.
All the works that went through the steps by the 5 semesters were excellent.
The students were so nervous before their presentations that they practiced over and over again on their notepads, which reminded me of the beginning of my architectural studies and made me think twice about myself.
I would like to thank all the students for their hard work!

去年の11月から8ヶ月間伴走してきたCAPSTONE PJの最後のプレゼンテーションに参加してきました。
5つのセメスターによるステップを経た作品は、どれも素晴らしいものでした。
プレゼン前に緊張しながらメモ用紙をみながら何度も練習を繰り返す生徒の姿は、建築を学び始める原点を思い出し、自分自身も襟を正される想いでした。
生徒のみなさんお疲れ様でした！

バンデート郵電相との昼食会を、キタノホテル東京2階にある「光庵」で開催しました。

加茂シェフにより、JCA会員が手がけておりますジャックフルーツが、金目鯛と共に天ぷらとして登場しました！

ソースはココナッツにレモングラスの風味を加えたさすがの加茂シェフのお料理でした。会談の内容は非常に夢のある内容で、本日大阪にて120名以上を集めたセミナーもあることから、しっかりと成果を残して参りたいと思います。
