Here, you can see how easily the roots grow through the paper. Even though the planter is durable, it'll become pulpous and soft during the degrading process but still manage to keep its shape until you put it into the ground.

I started an experiment over 2 months ago (7th Sep) to see how the planting pot would hold up in regular weather (keep in mind I did this during the end of winter and beginning of spring). These photo's show the state in which the planter is in during the following weeks.

As you can see (photos on the right) the planting pot has absorbed water making it more damp and textured, however it has not lost it's durability.

At the end of the (68 day) experiment I ended up planting it in the ground, because the plant's roots started growing through the bottom of the planting pot. Indicating it was ready for a bigger home💪🌿 but the planter itself was still in good condition.

Manna Planters are handmade biodegradable planter pots made from RE-A-LINER Glassine Liner Recycling Service paper. These biodegradable planting pots are a greater alternative compared to plastic planters. Better for the environment due to it's biodegradabality, this planting pot will be out of site and out of mind in no time.

Depending on the environment (wet, dry, moist,ect.) which the planter is placed in, will effect how long it will take to degrade. If it is planted directly into the ground and given water daily, it will take between 1-2 months to fully degrade*

How it works:

Manna Planters do not need to be directly placed into the ground, it will need a wet and moist environment to be able to degrade properly. Therefore you do not need to worry about a mushy mess if you wish to keep it out of the ground for a while.

Placing the planter directly in the sun will help it dry quicker after you have watered your plants. You may plant it in the ground whenever you think it's best, or when your flower is ready for a bigger home.

There is no need to worry about the planter ubstructing the roots of the plant to grow. When it starts to degrade it will become a pulp-like texture, making it easier for the roots to grow trough the paper and deeper into the soil.
