Swift Response to Motor Vehicle Accident 🚨🏍️

While conducting routine patrols in the Rivergate Industrial area, Kwena Fortis response officers attended to a motor vehicle accident on Cosmonaut Street involving a motorcycle and a light motor vehicle.

Upon arrival, emergency services assessed the scene and provided assistance to the injured motorcyclist, who sustained injuries during the collision.

Supporting emergency services attended the scene to ensure the safety of all involved parties and to manage the incident effectively. The scene was secured and handed over to the relevant authorities for further processing.

Call signs on scene included KF1 and Romeo 2, alongside Disaster Risk Management and Fire & Rescue Services.

Swift Response by Kwena Fortis Officers 🚨

Kwena Fortis response units attended a motor vehicle accident near Sandown Retail Crossing involving a motorcycle rider and a passenger vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers found an injured motorcycle rider who had been involved in a collision at the intersection. The scene was secured while medical personnel conducted an assessment and provided treatment.

The patient was stabilised on scene by Community Medics before being transported by Metro Ambulance to a medical facility for further care.

Kwena Fortis worked alongside SAPS, Community Medics, Metro Ambulance and PNW response units to ensure the scene was safely managed and that the injured party received prompt medical attention.

Call signs on scene included KF2 and Romeo Tango.

Swift Response by Kwena Fortis Officers 🚨

On 4 June 2026 at approximately 17:00, Kwena Fortis response units attended a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of the R27 and Berkshire Road following an alert received through the PNW network.

Sierra 1 and Romeo 1 responded swiftly to the scene, where two vehicles were involved in the collision. Upon arrival, it was established that occupants were trapped inside the vehicles, requiring the assistance of emergency services.

Community Medics, Fire & Rescue, Netcare 911 and towing services responded to provide medical care, scene management and vehicle recovery. All necessary resources worked together to ensure the safety of those involved and to bring the incident under control.

Call signs on scene included KF1 (Sierra 1) and KF2 (Romeo 1).

We commend all responding teams for their professionalism, teamwork and rapid response during this incident.

On 31 May 2026 at approximately 15:25, Kwena Fortis response units attended a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Gie Road and Parklands Main Road following an alert received through the PNW network.

Upon arrival, officers found multiple vehicles involved in the collision, including a public transport vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Responding teams assisted with scene management while emergency services and authorities worked to ensure the safety of all road users and facilitate the clearing of the roadway.

Kwena Fortis would like to acknowledge the efforts of all responding agencies, including SAPS, Disaster Risk Management and Dias Towing, for their cooperation and professionalism on scene.

The incident was successfully managed, and the area was restored to normal operations.

Swift Response by Kwena Fortis Officers 🚨

On 25 May 2026 at approximately 19:25, Kwena Fortis response units attended a domestic animal incident in the Parklands area involving a report of dog-on-dog aggression at a private residence.

KF1, KF2 responded promptly after receiving information via the PNW network regarding the situation. On arrival, officers found the scene already being assisted by Star Alarms, with contact made to nearby residents to ensure all parties were accounted for and safe.

The property owner was contacted and provided clarity on the circumstances, after which guidance was given on appropriate next steps to ensure the ongoing safety and control of the animals involved.

Call signs on scene included KF1, KF2, S1 and PN5, supported by PNW response units.

The situation was successfully de-escalated, and the scene was confirmed to be in order.

Critical Incident Response by Kwena Fortis Officers 🚨

On Monday, 25 May 2026, Kwena Fortis response units were dispatched following reports of gunshots in the Beachfront area.

KF2, Romeo 1 and Romeo Tango responded promptly to the scene, where multiple emergency and armed response units were already in attendance. Upon arrival, officers assisted with scene control and supported SAPS and other role players in securing the premises.

A male victim with multiple gunshot wounds was located inside the building. Emergency services immediately took over patient care and the scene was formally handed over to SAPS and medical response teams for further investigation and treatment.

Kwena Fortis worked alongside SAPS, CTS, SRG, Star Alarms and Complex Patrol units to ensure the scene remained secure and controlled throughout the operation.

Call signs on scene included KF2, Romeo 1 and Romeo Tango.

We commend all responding teams for their professionalism, coordination and rapid response under critical circumstances.
