The improved pastille of the 8x8, as well as the New Quadra Super has a gloss base and the radioused curve to the top of each pastille allows for easier cleaning. Being PVC and not rubber based, Transit Tiles do not absorb mineral oil-based liquids which, together with inherent rubber flooring installation difficulties, can cause unsightly 'blistering'. If, for any reason, a tile has to be lifted and replaced, unlike with ceramics, it is an easy operation.
