🌿 Today one of our teams joined SALI (South African Landscaping Institute) at Athlone School for the Blind for their CSI initiative — the creation of a sensory garden designed especially for the learners.

We were delighted to donate grass and decorative stone, and even more so to have our team on site installing these elements to bring the garden to life. The project was made possible through collaboration, with valuable support also from the landscaping students at CPUT.

A huge thank you to everyone involved — together we created a space that the children can enjoy, touch, and experience in their own unique way. 🌱💚

NEW GARDEN ALERT!

When we first arrived at this property in Somerset West, it was a brand-new build — with the garden consisting of bare soil and building rubble. Today, it’s a complete garden: pathways that invite you through, layered planting with texture and colour, and spaces that will grow fuller and more beautiful with each season.

This wasn’t just about laying paving and plants — it was about creating a place to come home to. A garden that feels natural, modern, and alive.

Seeing the transformation from “nothing” to a space filled with life is why we love what we do. And the best part? Our client was overjoyed with the result!

We are a growing landscaping company seeking a reliable, hands-on Foreman to manage day-to-day operations on site for both landscaping and irrigation projects. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality work and ensuring site teams are productive, professional, and safe.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate landscaping and irrigation installation teams on site

• Read and interpret site plans, layout designs, and irrigation schematics

• Conduct daily site checks to ensure quality control and time management

• Operate and maintain tools, irrigation components, and small machinery

• Liaise with the project manager and clients as needed

• Ensure safe work practices and adherence to deadlines

✅ Minimum Requirements:

• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors year-round

Job Overview:

Jubelius Gardens is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage critical financial tasks for our growing business. This role requires expertise in payroll, tax compliance, and detailed financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be comfortable handling payroll for a large team. Additional administrative tasks such as assisting with monthly reporting, obtaining quotations from suppliers etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage monthly payroll for approximately 100 staff members
Prepare and submit PAYE, IRP5, and EMP501 reconciliations
Handle VAT returns and ensure compliance with SARS requirements
Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
Obtain quotations from suppliers.
Assist with monthly reporting.

Requirements:

Proven experience in bookkeeping, specifically with PAYE, IRP5, EMP501, and VAT returns
Proficiency with payroll management for a team of 100+ staff
Strong understanding of tax compliance and statutory regulations
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)

Irrigation Techinician Required

The suitable candidate must be a motivated, reliable and results orientated individual able to supervise crew in the installation of residential irrigation systems.

Should exhibit a strong work ethic, have detailed knowledge of irrigation equipment – sprinklers, controllers etc.

The candidate would also need to have a sound knowledge in tank installations, booster pumps, well point pumps and borehole pumps.

Have good communication skills with customers and be able to control the various members of our team.

Have a clean criminal record and be of sober habits.

A valid driver’s license as well as contactable references would be essential.

Able to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner.

Candidate must be able to start by end of August
