It proved very popular with both readers and advertisers who were looking for a high quality magazine that was not focused solely on Home improvement. There is something for everybody in the magazine. Due to the success of the Southern Showcase, Sentinel Publishing subsequently launched the Northern and Far Northern Showcase magazines. Being based in the Northern Suburbs we soon realised that we w
ere too far away from the Southern Showcase community and to be a community magazine we needed to be part of the community. The decision was therefore taken in 2010 to franchise the magazines to owner operators who had a passionate interest in the respective local community. Clint, who lives in the Plumstead area, took over the Southern Showcase magazine and Ronel, who lives in Brackenfell, took over the Far Northern Showcase magazine. Sentinel Publishing, who has its offices in Bellville, has continued to publish the Northern Showcase. In April 2012 two more franchisees were appointed. Riana, who has close ties with the Boland area, is launching the Boland Showcase in June, and Celeste, who lives in Pretoria, is launching the Showcase magazines in Pretoria North, Pretoria East and Centurion by the end of 2012. Sentinel publishing has recently launched a Digital Showcase magazine, which is emailed monthly to our readers in the Western Cape. Helderberg Showcase is part of the popular Showcase magazines suite. It is published under licence from Sentinel Publishing, which launched the first Showcase magazine in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town in June 2007. There are currently four other Showcase magazines in Cape Town (Northern Showcase, Far Northern Showcase, Southern Showcase & Boland Showcase) They are A4 size high quality full colour glossy magazines that are distributed bi-monthly door to door to 20 000 high income homes in the respective areas. Showcase is aimed at clients wanting to exhibit their products through a low cost, good quality, high circulation medium.
