🚨 INCIDENT REPORT | STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED 🚨
📍 10 April 2026 | 16:40

While on duty, Armed Response Officer: Isaacs was patrolling in the Wilderness area.

📞 An alert was received from Ops Manager: Januarie regarding a stolen vehicle taken from 39 Sands Road. Tracking indicated the vehicle was moving toward the Touwsranten / Hoekwil area via 7 Passes Road.

🚓 ARO: Isaacs was instructed to proceed via Whites Road in an attempt to intercept.
👀 No moving vehicle was spotted initially, however an updated tracking ping led to a breakthrough.

✅ The stolen vehicle was located abandoned a few hundred meters from the Whites Road turnoff onto 7 Passes Road, hidden along a pathway leading to a construction site.

🚔 SAPS and towing services arrived on scene and the incident was handed over to the responding SAPS members and SCDF stood down.

👏 Excellent coordination and rapid response ensured a successful recovery of the vehcile.

🐾 Throwback to an Amazing Cause! 🐾

On 21 March 2026, almost a month ago already, we had the absolute pleasure of assisting Sedgefield Animal Matters with a fantastic charity drive — and what a success it was! 💙

Together, we helped arrest a number of furry “fur-gïtives” 🐶😼 who were safely transported to Pawcatraz until they could post bail of R5 000 each 😉

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Sedgefield community and surrounding areas, the target was not only met but exceeded, with an amazing R54 000+ raised for this worthy cause! 🙌

👏 Thank you to every single person who donated, supported, shared, and showed up. Your kindness truly makes a difference to the lives of animals in need.

😢With heavy hearts, the SCDF family mourns the passing of our beloved colleague, Saul Davids, who passed away on 20 March 2026.

🕊️Saul was truly loved by all who knew him. He held a special place in the hearts of the Van Rensburg family and the many clients of Van Rensburgs Foods, where he was stationed.

🫂Saul took immense pride in his work and was always ready with a warm greeting, a kind word, and a genuine smile. His dedication and love for interacting with customers never went unnoticed.

❤️He was more than an employee—he was a friend, a familiar face, and a valued member of our community. Saul’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the lives he touched every day.💞

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Davids family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest in peace, Saul. You will always be part of the SCDF family 🕊️🤍

🚨 INCIDENT REPORT 🚨CABLE THEFT

📅 Date: 13 March 2026
⏰ Time: 13:15
⚠️ Incident: Possession of Municipal Cables
📍 Location: Heights Road
👤 Suspect Arrested: ✅ Yes

On 13 March 2026 (sorry we see the video says 13 February), while conducting his daily patrols ARO: Pienaar observed a suspicious suspect carrying a heave-looking bag on Heights road in the direction of the village.

Shortly after the suspect was joined by another male suspect also carrying a heavy bag. With their permission, ARO: Pienaar inspcted the heavy bags and found municipal copper cables in it.

The one suspect, alogn with the two bags of cables, were detained and later arrested, however the other suspect fled the scene. SAPS were informed along with the WDF control room and the municipality.

During questioning, the suspect indicated that the cables had been cleaned near an office close to the tunnel behind the Caltex garage in the CBD.The suspect was arrested and detained by SAPS. 📦 All recovered cables were loaded into the SAPS vehicle as evidence.

Well done to our team for always being so vigilant and for always going the extra mile for our community.

These escape artists have slipped the paw-trol, and we’re heading out to help bring them into custody 💙🐶🐱

🐾 Big hearts for small paws

Wish us luck as we track them down to take them back to Alcapaws!
