🍃The Butterfly Tree Services team was called upon to REPAIR an EXISTING WOODEN DECK WALKWAY that had been damaged by an adventurous hippopotamus in one of our local wildlife estates.

The team replaced the damaged section and also took the opportunity to treat the wooden structure of the entire walkway and beautiful seating area with nourishing wood oil. This not only enhances the aesthetic quality of the structure but, also increases the longevity of the wooden components.

🔨Our experienced team is highly skilled in the MAINTENANCE and REPAIRS of EXISTING WOODEN DECKING and in the CONSTRUCTION of NEW WOODEN DECKING. We can also ENLARGE EXISTING WOODEN DECKS.

🍃Our security vetted team members worked as unobtrusively as possible, so as not to disturb our client in any way.

🟢We are VAT registered and have many contactable references available, having proudly served the greater Hoedspruit community since 2018.

🟢We are registered with the Compensation Fund and have Public Liability Insurance in place.

🐍Another snake rescued from a building site.

This beautiful Red-lipped Herald (Crotaphopeltis hotamboeia) scared the wits out of our team members, when it bolted out of a half-plastered wall. One of our guys immediately came to call Jesse, while the others kept a wary eye on the snake.

Jesse checked him over for injuries and cleaned the cement dust off him, before releasing him a safe distance away from the building site.

🐈‍⬛The Butterfly Tree Services team recently completed a METAL CATIO for a lovely lady in one of our local wildlife estates.

We also enclosed the courtyard linking the kitchen with the covered carport with a METAL FRAMEWORK and GALVANISED MESH. A ROOF with CLIP LOCK ROOF SHEETING was also erected over the courtyard; creating an even larger protected and safe space for her beloved feline friends.

A CATIO is a wonderful solution for cat owners, as it gives their kitties a safe space to explore outdoors and it prevents their feline friends from roaming and hunting the small wild animals that share our beautiful wild surroundings.

🍃Great care was taken to ensure that the structures seamlessly blend in with the aesthetic footprint of the client's beautiful home.

Eastern Tiger Snake
(Telescopus semiannulatus)

⚠️Our team members found it under some roof sheets on site and called Woody to remove it safely. They know that they are not allowed to kill snakes under any circumstances.

🐍Our team will contact a qualified snake remover to safely relocate any venomous snakes.

🍃HOME RENOVATION & EXTENSION

The Butterfly Tree Services team finished a HOME RENOVATION and EXTENSION just before the end of 2025.

We completed the following:
🔸️Built a new wing to enlarge the living area;
🔸️Tiled the floor and installed an aluminium sliding door in the new wing;
🔸️Stripped and tiled the kitchen and bathroom walls and floors;
🔸️Installated a shower door;
🔸️Enclosed the outdoor laundry room with walls and upcycled windows;
🔸️Built a verandah with a Chromodek roof and mild steel balustrades;
🔸️Painted the new wing to match the existing house.

⚡️The electrical installation was sub-contracted.

🛖THATCH ROOF MAINTENANCE

The Butterfly Tree Services team was tasked with adding a new layer of THATCH and GALVANISED MESH to a THATCH ROOF for a client in Raptors Lodge.

🌧Fortunately we could complete the project before our very wet rainy season kicked off.

The rain is far from over and it would be wise to have your THATCH ROOF checked and maintained as soon as possible.
