So angry!!

So, last night, early hours of Sunday, a job comes through for a Kia Rio, keys locked inside in Roodepoort.

I could not get hold of the client but he called me this afternoon.

The client informs me that he has been helped and as usual my inquisitive mind kicks in and I ask how much he paid the locksmith to go and open his car.

His reply shocked me to my core.

This unscrupulous locksmith had the audacity to charge the client R2995.

I told the client that I would have done it for him at a more reasonable sounding R950.

It's about time that we as legitimate locksmiths take a stand against these unscrupulous and thieving R250 call-out Locksmiths who end up demanding figures as high as R6000 for vehicular lockouts.

Clients should be educated about the avenues of recourse available to them such as PSIRA and LASA.

What some guys out there are getting away with is nothing but criminal and they are causing irreparable damage to the industry.

Yesterday I received a call from a gentleman that owns a Mercedes Benz E300.

Apparently he had locked the keys in the boot.
I gave him a quote and he accepted.

When I arrived I opened the vehicle and gained access to the boot only to find that the keys were nowhere to be found in the vehicle.

The owner then said his grandchild must have mislaid the keys and he will take steps to try and retrieve the keys ASAP.

Another job done with efficiency, friendliness and cost effective for the client.

HHB Auto Lock & Key have relocated to Howick, KZN Midlands.

We would like to think our client base in Gauteng for their support and loyalty throughout the past few years. We will never forget how and where we started.

The decion to return to our place of birth was brought on by a few factors, but we are quite confident in the new environment as it is the birth-place of Hennie and the third chapter in the second part of our life story.

Once again thanks to our loyal GP clients and we wish you everything of the best going forward as we get ready to close 2021 and get our hands dirty, ready and eager to enter into a hopefully better and blessed 2022.
