'Atmosphere is my style'

The details at Ikara were designed to be felt slowly.

A curve in the joinery.
A soft edge.
A shift in texture.
A moment of warmth in the material palette.
A line that guides the eye without asking for attention.

Together, these details create the feeling of the space.

They hold the craft, the thinking and the many small decisions that turn a restaurant interior into an experience.

For Mythos, the chairs were designed as part of the room from the beginning.

These pieces were developed for Mythos Design Quarter and later carried through into three of the stores, becoming part of the wider Mythos interior language.

Each chair was drawn, detailed, finished and specified to sit within the larger story of the space. Timber, fabric, powder-coated aluminium, proportion and comfort all had a role to play.

A restaurant interior is experienced through the details guests touch, sit in and return to.

We were honoured to join for the official groundbreaking ceremony of their new Indoor Court Sports Precinct, a meaningful milestone for sport, education, and community.

Architecture is about more than buildings. It begins with conversations, ideas, and a shared belief that something lasting can be created. Watching the first earth turn yesterday was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.

This precinct will offer world-class facilities built to support performance, competition, growth, and connection, not just for today's pupils, but for generations to come.

The foundation stone laid marks more than the start of construction. It carries the values and ambition that will shape this place for decades ahead.

We can't wait to watch it rise.

Every day carries a different moment.

A different site.
A different surface underfoot.
A different feeling in the space.
A different stage of progress.
A different problem to solve.

Some moments are measured and technical. Some are dusty, unfinished and full of questions. Some give you a small glimpse of what the project is becoming.

Together, these are the steps that shape the journey we experience as architects.

A simple detail, thoughtfully placed.

At Mabu, this wall light was designed by Atmos and manufactured by Greencraft as a custom piece for the space.

Its purpose is quiet, but its presence is felt. It softens the room, adds warmth, and brings a calm refinement to the interior. The form, glow and placement all work together to create a small moment of depth within the room.

Details like these carry the feeling of a space. They shape how it is experienced, how it rests, and how it comes to life.

The drawing holds the first feeling of the space.

At Kolonaki, Bryanston, the idea began in layers: soft fabric suspended above, carved travertine along the wall, a textured banquette, and honed marble at the table.

Seeing the final space beside the sketch shows how closely the atmosphere was carried through. The linework, the material choices, the warmth, the detail. All of it stayed with the project from concept to completion.

From palette to place.

This mood board begins to shape the atmosphere of a space through layered materials, natural textures and carefully balanced contrast.

Stone, timber, fabric, blackened finishes and greenery, each one chosen for how it feels beside the next.

A wall piece that holds texture, rhythm and presence.

At Blockman, Bryanston, this wall piece brings a calming strength to the interior.

Its layered composition, charred texture and repetition create depth and rhythm within the space. Each timber block carries its own grain, marking time, process and material honesty. Together, they form a sculptural focal point that invites a slower gaze.

A resort in Zakynthos, Greece should feel like it belongs to the island.

This project is shaped around light, texture, movement and ease. Every space is considered for the way guests arrive, pause, gather and unwind.

The design draws from the setting without competing with it, creating a calm hospitality experience that feels refined, relaxed and connected to Greece’s natural beauty.

A place designed for slow days, warm evenings and the kind of details that stay with you.

For the St Andrew’s School for Girls library, the technical drawings were not just a starting point. They were the roadmap for the final space.

From the shelving rhythm to the built-in reading nooks, every detail was planned with intention and carried through into the completed installation.

This video shows the relationship between drawing and reality. The lines, proportions and details developed on paper becoming a warm, functional library designed for reading, focus, research and curiosity.

When the thinking is precise, the final space feels effortless.
