Another successful transformation completed by Power flooring & décor.

We were asked to convert an older residential home into a modern dental practice, including an elegant waiting room and professional doctors’ offices. Because of the expected daily foot traffic, an AC4 commercial-grade laminate was selected to ensure long-lasting durability and performance.

The project presented a unique combination of existing subfloors, including both cement areas and original timber flooring (pine/saligna). While laminates can be installed over certain wooden subfloors, specific conditions need to be met. In this case, the home featured breathing vents along the sides of the structure, allowing the timber subfloor to ventilate correctly and making the installation perfectly suitable.

To ensure comfort, stability, and moisture protection, a combilay underlay was installed beneath the laminate flooring.

The light grey flooring selected by the doctor completely transformed the interior space, creating a clean, modern, and welcoming atmosphere that elevates the simplicity of the environment into a sophisticated professional practice.

The final result is a beautiful, durable floor that blends practicality with exceptional style.

Power flooring & décor recently completed a premium flooring upgrade in a high-profile home in KZN.

We carefully removed carpets from four bedrooms and installed new laminate flooring, seamlessly matching it to the home’s existing engineered wood staircase — the true centerpiece of the space. The colour, selected by the client, was expertly chosen to ensure a flawless blend with the current finishes.

This nursery school kitchen began with aged vinyl tiles — cracked, damaged, and no longer fit for purpose. Our team carefully uplifted the old flooring, preparing the foundation for a true transformation.

Power Flooring's team was brought in to perform renovations to our client's home by removing carpets, laminates and tiles throughout the kitchen, lounge, corridor and bathrooms. The existing tiles were carefully lifted, carpets and laminates were fully uplifted and removed.

To ensure a flawless foundation, we applied a self-levelling screed across the prepared areas, creating a smooth and even subfloor. We then installed high-quality glue-down vinyl using a water-based adhesive, before rolling the entire floor with a 68kg roller to guarantee maximum bonding strength and long-lasting durability.

The result is a modern, seamless floor finish that flows beautifully from room to room, combining style, practicality and performance.

Rooftop Goals Unlocked!
Power flooring & décor was recently invited to transform a unique space in an upmarket Eco Estate on the Dolphin Coast — a rooftop retreat where our client and his family can unwind, enjoy their sundowners, and take in both stunning sunsets and peaceful sunrises.

To elevate the space, we installed a 38mm luxurious artificial turf over a rubber underlay, adding extra comfort underfoot and giving the area a lush, natural feel.

Because the installation took place over bitumen waterproofing, we used a specialised adhesive to ensure a secure, long-lasting finish — no compromises on quality.

We recently had the pleasure of working with GUD Filters to transform their office carpeting. Our team began by meticulously removing the old plain back carpet tiles, which lacked rubber backing. Despite the minimal damage to the cement subfloor, the client skilfully repaired any imperfections using high-quality screed and self-levelling screed.
Next, we applied a strong adhesive to the perfectly levelled floor and installed the luxurious Belgotex Berber Point 920 carpet tiles in an elegant, tessellated pattern. To ensure a robust bond with the glue, we completed the installation by carefully rolling the carpet tiles with a 68kg roller. The chosen colour, Polish, added a sleek and professional touch, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the office space.
