This is Kyle's room. He wanted a black, white and red colour scheme. I chose a deep red wall for him and also an eyelet heading for his room. Eyelets are modern and playful and work well in bedrooms. I also wanted to bring in silver in their rooms that the rods and eyelets worked for.
I first found him very nice bed linen at Shein. A black and white stripe so I decided to do something interesting as a curtain. The black and white border looks really nice. I'm just dissapointed that my manufacturer didn't make it as wide as I ask. Hopefully I will get over it one day.
The black and white stripe and the black fabric at the bottom is from Home Fabrics. His voil is at least not the Halloween, torn look anymore. That's also from Home Fabrics. A stronger polyester that should last longer than the previous one.
His got a very funky vinyl fabric headboard in crocodile print. Also from home fabrics.
I got a really nice bright red vinyl for his ottoman. It has a lid so he's got more storage space. Will definitely come in handy for blankets.
I needed another splash of red that had to go on his bed just to tie everything together. That was actually very difficult to find. A funky, modern red with a pattern that will compliment all his stripes on his bed. Luckily I searched enough and found the red and white herringbone design at Stuart Graham. His scatter cushion came out so nice. He also loves pillows all over his bed.

His desk and bedside table he painted himself. I did his bookshelves and thank goodness he liked the grey rug. He insisted on a bright red rug but I just had to steer him away from it to avoid a 'p**n star's type of look. Haha

He loves his room. The best is just seeing their faces light up when everything is done and it's all there favourite things.

Of course Kyle loves his bed. After school he will get in bed first. There's no screen time during the week so sitting in his bed is second best. Especially if it's cold or he's tired after sport. Then there's reading time in bed as well. Best place to snuggle up and read a good story. Weekends we have to chase them out their rooms to just go do something.
Thank goodness for summer on the way!

I'm finally done with the last touches of Liam's room. We decided to do the interior of Liam and Kyle's bedrooms now because they are the only rooms in the house staying the same.
I wanted their rooms to be there safe place, their hideouts and where they feel their happiest. I loved creating this for them.

Over weekends he spend time online with his friends, no more fighting over who plays when. His room is where he tests, studies, hide from Kyle and cuddle with Jerry.

I'm so happy how they turned out. Liam's favourite colour is blue. He wanted everything blue so I tried to break it with other colours as well.
His curtains were his curtains that I got done before he was born. The fabric is timeless! It's still his favourite so the whole scheme is around his curtains.
The curtain fabric with border is from Stuart Graham.
He got new voil curtains. Fabric from Home Fabrics.
His headboard is a blue and black textured vinyl. That came out so nice. Fabric from Home Fabrics.
Then he loves pillows so I added a lighter blue scatter that compliments all the dark colours.
He has a new duvet cover as well that matches all the blue tones. Duvet cover is from.....Shein!
His scatter fabric is Stuart Graham.
I added a grey, plush rug in the floor. It gives the room a cosy and warm feel which is what he loves.
Then he sanded and varnished his desk, bookshelf and bedside table himself.

His room was a bit bright when I took the video. I hope the colours show enough.

A sneak peek of something I'm pondering about. A painting I did for our dining room and two paintings I gave to friends.
My idea is to do little paintings for kids bedrooms or whatever else inspires me, and sell it as an extra business. I don't know when since Real Estate and being a mom is already 2 full time jobs.
