Snapdragons are honestly some of my absolute favourites on the farm 🫶
Some people find them a bit tricky to germinate, but don’t let that put you off.
Here’s how I grow them:
• Use a good-quality germination mix—moist, but not too wet.
• Surface sow—seeds need light, so don’t cover (or just a light dusting of vermiculite).
• Cover with a dome or plastic bag to keep moisture in.
• Place in a warm spot.
• Germination can take up to 2 weeks, but once they start, they grow quite quickly.
• When about 80% have germinated, remove the cover.
• Move them under grow lights (or into bright light) to prevent legginess.
• Harden off slowly before planting out.
• Transplant once strong and ready.
So worth growing at least once 🤍
