Last September I travelled to Belgium and had the pleasure of meeting Astrid one of the owners of a gorgeous studio by the river .keramiekstudio . She is one of the most thoughtful and caring people I have ever met.

As a goodbye gift Astrid collected a bunch of plants from her garden and gave them to me. I later made this vase and printed each one of them onto clay.

Now, every time I look at it it reminds me of Belgium and brings back memories, it truly warms my heart

Forgot to add music to this video so had to repost 😄

Madagascar periwinkle printed onto clay. Such a tricky piece to make ! delicate petals countless leaves and many stages along the way. From throwing and trimming to plant printing, slow drying, bisque firing , hand painting, glaze firing, gold application and a final gold firing.

Around 2 weeks of making and about three hours of reel editing.

I love hie it turned out so much that I am now considering keeping it for myself instead of selling 🥴😁
