Meet Nancy, one of three designers taking part in Finasi’s Internal AI Design Challenge.
“For me, the Majlis is a place for hospitality and gathering. I wanted to bring that experience of gathering into a chair.”
Inspired by the welcoming spirit of the Majlis, Nancy’s chair features a curved form designed to embrace the sitter, artisanal fabric rich in Middle Eastern patterns, timeless walnut wood and an intertwined metal structure that reflects the way a Majlis brings people together.

From AI-generated concept to physical form, the design is now taking shape through Finasi’s craftsmanship and joinery expertise.

Meet Rica, the second of three designers taking part in Finasi’s Internal AI Design Challenge.

Inspired by fabric samples, Rica used AI to visualise an armchair, exploring a concept that can be difficult to bring to life and shaping it into a distinctive, complex form with comfort at its core.

What began as an AI-generated concept is now being brought to life by Finasi’s joinery team.

A work in progress, with Rica’s design steadily evolving into its physical form.

Inspired by the desire to escape the noise of everyday life, Nour’s chair brings together tweedle-dum fabric, crisscross leather detailing and warm oak wood to create a sense of comfort and retreat.
