Cabbage and other cool weather crops have a very limited growing season here so it’s really important to get your timings right.

Friday is our main harvest day - we pick any extras we need during the week but on Fridays we gather up everything that is ready and use it throughout the week.

This makes space for other crops to continue growing & a bit more space to sow new seeds.

This week we have kohlrabi, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, peppers, lettuce and herbs including rosemary, basil and oregano!

This weekend we will be planting out our 2nd round of tomato seedlings, and sowing seeds of butternut squash. Btw, for those wondering about tomatoes, it’s too late to start them from seed here in the UAE, but if you have transplants then you will have time for plenty of harvests!

Amirah helped her Nana pick & shell some peas for dinner. Peas are such a great garden treat, I’m amazed so many of them made it into the kitchen 🤣
