Beside gardening, my other passion is cooking.
Growing up in cooking expert family made me naturally love good food and enjoy playing in the kitchen.
My mum is a famous local cook, back in my hometown, she is the cook that everyone in the village looking when they have party or any occassion.
She is my cooking teacher and my role model.I dont have to worry about missing my hometown food when I have to left my country and live overseas.
All I need to do is just call her and ask her recipe.
Though I cant do it anymore since she pasded away 4months ago πŸ˜”
Thats also the reason why I finally choose this path, to be a certified Chef, to continue her legacy in culinary.
My speciality of course Indonesian food, and these are some of them.
In Indonesia, we called it Tumpeng.
Tumpeng is an Indonesian cone-shaped rice dish with side dishes of vegetables and meat originating from Javanese cuisine of Indonesia. Traditionally featured in the slamatan ceremony, the rice is made by using a cone-shaped woven bamboo container. The rice itself may be plain steamed rice, uduk rice, or yellow rice.(source: Wikipedia)
I used family recipes, and I always make sure to use the same ingredient for the autenticity.
All make fresh, no artificial color and flavor or instant seasoning.
