My business name Silver Fern Gardening Co name came from my love of gardening and my heritage and connection to my homeland of New Zealand tying it in with my home here in Adelaide where I live with my wife and children.
The elegant shape of the silver fern fronds stands for strength, stubborn resistance, and enduring power to Māori. To Pākehā (New Zealanders of non-Māori descent), the fern symbolises a sense of attachment to their homeland.
