It took me 2 growing seasons to finally get some garlic. Last year my garlic was so heavily infested with aphids that I didn’t get one single garlic plant out of the nearly 100 plants I was growing. I just couldn’t get rid of the little buggers. This year I still lost some 70% of it due to aphid infestation but at least I got something. I must say out of all the veggies I’ve been growing garlic was a struggle 🧄🧄🧄 to get right.

I grated my thumb knuckle on the grater last week (ouch 🤒🫣) and after applying my amazing healing calendula balm it was completely healed by day 8.

Here it is folks, as promised, I’ve made a second batch of organic calendula & chamomile healing balm.

🌼 Calendula has traditionally been used for all types of skin complaints, from spots, itches, rashes, eczema, psoriasis, insect bites … you name it! A true healing herb.

🌼 Calendula & chamomile are both well known for their skin healing and calming properties.

🌼 They are antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antiallergenic and soothing floral herbs.

🌼 Beeswax is a wonderful, natural ingredient and it acts as a protective barrier between the skin and any environmental stressors. . On its own, beeswax isn’t a moisturiser, but when mixed with other ingredients such as natural oils, it acts as a moisture barrier on your skin, protecting it from drying out and allowing the oils in the salve to soak in. It basically locks in hydration without clogging your pores and intensely nourishing while still allowing your skin to breathe. It hydrates, conditions, soothes and calms the skin.

🌼 The flowers have been infused for 6 weeks in organic almond, jojoba, olive & apricot oil.

I have made 2 combinations of balms keeping in mind anyone with nut allergies.

🌼 Combo 1: Calendula & Chamomile balm with organic almond oil, jojoba oil and beeswax. This is not suitable for anyone with nut allergies.

🌼 Combo 2: Calendula & Chamomile balm with organic olive oil, apricot kernel oil & beeswax. This is suitable for anyone with nut allergies.

I have tried them both and to me they feel the same on the skin, the gentle fragrance is given by the flowers and beeswax.

All ingredients used are organic and the flowers have all been homegrown by me.

🌼 The balm can be used for nappy rash, chapped hands and rough skin, eczema, dermatitis, insect stings & bites, sores, pigment & age spots, sunburn or simply as a natural moisturiser on your body & lips.

I have 3 sizes available and limited stock:

30 ml - $25

60 ml - $40

DM for orders, I can post anywhere in Australia(sorry … no overseas) or possibly deliver in Adelaide. Pick up is available too if anyone prefers this option. Flat rate postage is $9.50 and free for orders over $90
