If you have a leaking/dripping tap, best to get it fixed soon as possible.
Otherwise it can erode a deep trench that might not be able to be machine out

Found this the other day whilst changing over mixer tap
Open ended pipe connected from H/W safe tray to main sewage drain.
I ask customer if they had smelly drain problems, yes we do. The shop gets over powered by sewage smell.
Remember sewage gasses are carcinogenic

Found this gas leak today

Someone never flared the copper tube
Been leaking from day one since house built in the 1980's

The sad thing is when the new hot water relocate job was done. Know one tested gas service for soundness(leaks)
When filling out a certificate to compliance you have to tick this box
Basically this means both times the gasfitter never test their work
Notice the before and after flare on copper tube
