A clean front entrance can change the whole feel of a home.

We recently completed this custom spotted gum entrance deck for our clients, built to tie in naturally with the home and create a practical, welcoming entry. The curved feature steps give the deck a softer finish while still keeping a sharp, modern look.

Spotted gum is hard to beat for durability, colour variation and long-term performance outdoors.

Another clean outdoor upgrade completed in O’Sullivan’s Beach.

We built this custom pergola over an existing deck, tying it straight into the house roofline so it feels like it’s always been there. The result is a seamless flow from inside to out, with solid coverage and a sharp finish.

Fitzroy deck revamp — clean, solid, built to last.

We stripped this one back and gave it a proper upgrade:
• 140mm merbau decking throughout
• New stairs built with solid merbau
• Fresh balustrade with merbau handrail + LOSP balusters

Simple design, tight finishes, and materials that handle the weather.

Transformation Alert!

We’re excited to showcase our latest project in Belair, where our team at Joseph Parsons Carpentry took a neglected outdoor space and transformed it into a stunning haven. The journey began with cutting back an overgrown vine that had overtaken the area, revealing the potential hidden beneath.

We demolished the old rotten pergola that was no longer safe or aesthetically pleasing and replaced it with a brand-new LOSP pergola, featuring a sleek Colorbond roof that not only enhances the look but also provides excellent durability against the elements.

In addition, we pulled up the outdated decking and replaced it with beautiful new Merbau decking, adding warmth and elegance to the space. To ensure safety and compliance with Australian standards, we also constructed a modern balustrade using stainless steel wire, providing a perfect blend of style and security.
