Absolute 1 of a kind, custom ordered Yamaha U3B ‘Lounge Series’ Piano, manufactured in Hamamatsu, Japan in 1961. Hand selected by our owner Joe in Nagoya Japan 6 months ago, imported into Australia, arrived today.

A super, super cool mid-century styled Japanese piano featuring high gloss hexagonal cut side panels, Japanese Maple front panels and chrome legs.

Fully restored to factory specifications, looks and plays like it left the factory in 1961… Have what nobody else has 👌

$14,995 inc GST, Nationwide delivery, Tuning following delivery, Matching bench and 15 Year Warranty.

Student campaign helps secure new community piano 🎹 ❤️

You may remember the ABC story about Glenunga students campaigning to save the much-loved community piano outside Burnside Library.

Today, that piano has been replaced with a beautiful, donated instrument, thanks to the generosity of Leaver & Son Pianos, who contacted Council and offered a replacement.

891 ABC Adelaide roving reporter Bobby Macumber was there to witness the installation, telling Rory McClaren the new piano looks fantastic.

“It’s an Australian Wertheim, it’s a Gold Scroll piano; it’s a good old piano — they don’t make them like this anymore,” one of the installers told 891 ABC Adelaide.

The replacement ensures the community piano tradition can continue, providing a place for visitors of all ages to stop, play and share the joy of music.

Well… A silver lining after all… When Sami and his mates from Glenunga International High School contacted us, we knew we had to help…

The public piano they regularly use at Burnside Library had been damaged beyond repair… Well we fixed that 🙏

Burnside Library now has a fully functional (refurbished piano) donated by us for the public use. We have also agreed to donate our time to regularly maintain and tune the piano going forward.

That’s what being a community minded business is all about ❤️🎹

Adelaide Friends… We’ve stepped in, liaised with Burnside Council and will be replacing the community piano at Burnside Library at no cost…
