Fantastic day to be out on the ride on!

These ovals had a recent renovation, were sprayed with Bullkelp, Wetting Agent and had a nasty black beetle infestation treated. Bouncing back very nicely!

What an absolute beast, the Stihl HLA 86! Huge shout out to for hooking me up!

Was sick of swinging around a Kombi with extensions while pruning big hedges. This machine saved my shoulders and halved the amount of times I had to reposition my ladder. Almost no fatigue at all in comparison to all the micro adjustments trying to stabilise a wobbly/flexy Kombi system with an extension and hedger attachment.

Even in the fully extended position this machine was a breeze to operate and greatly reduced the amount of input/movement my arms had to do!

20 years worth off debris built up underneath the baffles of this 42" Walker 'Euro' Deck.

Ive slowly been restoring the machine from the ground up.
New baffles welded in... unfortunately I neglected to consider how hot welding metal gets, and destroyed a significant part of the pain job I spent 3 weeks working on 😅 Whoops!!!

Huge shout out to at for not only getting me sorted with this new custom hat, shaped and styled exactly to my preferences, but also for repairing my grandfathers old Akubra!

I wear this hat every single day, it fits perfectly, is super durable and easy to keep clean, and keeps the sun off my head on those hot days, and keeps the rain from drenching me on the cold ones!

It gets covered in mud, grass clippings, sweat and grease, yet it always cleans up and stays water repellent.

Highly recommend the investment for anybody working in an industry thats out in the elements!

Why 'Leaf Litter is Not Mulch' and 'What It's Really Doing to Your Garden'.

One of the most common misconceptions in gardening is that fallen leaves make good mulch. It sounds natural and easy, but the reality is, leaf litter left to rot is one of the fastest ways to destroy soil health and compromise your plants.

These photos show what happens after nearly 10 years of unmanaged leaf and pruning litter. What technically is “organic matter” is actually suffocating the soil and fuelling disease and decay.

🍂 Leaves don’t break down fast.
Most take 6–12 months to decompose. In the meantime, they form a slimy mat that blocks air and water, suffocating the root zone and creating waterlogged conditions.

🌧 Perfect conditions for fungus and pests.
The trapped moisture and poor airflow create a humid environment that fungi love. In these images, you can see mycelium already growing. This isn't healthy compost... it’s disease.

🌿 Fertilisers can’t reach the roots.
Thick leaf mats block nutrient pe*******on. Even the best fertiliser won’t work if it can’t reach the soil.

🌱 Soil goes anaerobic.
Without air, soil microbes die off, pH is thrown out, and plants weaken, making them vulnerable to disease and stress.

🌳 Collar rot sets in.
Moist leaf debris against plant stems or trunks leads to rot, weakening structural integrity and damaging cell tissue, which will eventually kill the plant.

The fix?
Clear under hedges and trees regularly. Use a proper mulch, one that breaks down slowly, retains moisture without smothering the soil, and allows airflow and fertiliser movement. Healthy mulch = healthy soil = healthy garden.

Germination starting to occur after only 10 days on this job in Hawthorn.

Xtreme Dominance Bent seed is a ultra high end putting and playing turf that can tolerate up to a 2mm cut height.

By spring time this lawn will be a pristine putting green.

Not only does it grow vigorously, but its fungal/disease resistance is fantastic. It performs well in even shady locations, can handle both clay and sand soil types and even tolerates soils with poor drainage.

The root system is very shallow making it easy to irrigate and renovate.

One of the biggest residential irrigation jobs we have tackled to date. 1450m² property, over 300m of dripline to garden beds and hedges, 50 MP Rotator sprinkler heads and bodies, 400m of 19mm feed lines, 400m of trenching, 650 metal U stakes to hold the above ground lines in place, over 1000 connections and 4000 fittings. 8 irrigation zones (6 for the lawns, and 2 for the gardens), full WIFI controller that connects to weather stations and receives regular updates from the BOM.

We had to deal with and remove roughly 5 wheelie bins worth of discarded builders refuse scattered through out and buried in the lawns and gardens, leveling/earth works preping 1000m² of turf surfaces and garden beds ready for lawn seed and mulch, excavation of a water meter that had been bent over and encased in concrete, and finally oversowing 300m² of turf base with Dominance Extremely Bent Grass lawn seed.

8 days on the tools and 10 hour days, but finally its completed, now the waiting game for the seed to germinate! 😎🌱💧🔧⛏️

Last little sneak peak...

Our Selective Hebicide "Broad Nukem 64" is safe to use on nearly all types of turf grasses to tackle pesky broad leaf weeds that start to show their ugly heads in the beginning of the cold season! Couch, Kikuyu, Fescue, its even safe on Buffalo!

Nukem before they set seed and spread, compounding the issue.
