October Recap 🌿

It’s been a big month for the team!

Rhys recently attended an incredible two-day Bonsai workshop hosted by Butterfly Effect Nursery with Tony Bebb and Keiko from the Brisbane International Bonsai School.
Learning the art of patience, precision, and growth, it’s safe to say he came back inspired and ready to bring that same care into every garden we touch.

Big shout out to Irene & Owen for the wonderful hospitality!

We also laced up for a cause close to our hearts, Run for Autism 2025!
Our WPS crew had 8 amazing participants, each clocking up over 70km and together raising $1,204 to support a truly meaningful cause.
We couldn’t be prouder of the effort, heart, and teamwork shown.

Here’s to growth, giving back, and keeping our community thriving, one garden, one run, one act of kindness at a time.

✨ Run for Autism ✨

This October, Rhys and the Whitsundays Property Services crew are lacing up to take part in Run for Autism, a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts.

Our family lives and breathes neurodiversity. In fact, starting this business was deeply personal, it gave Rhys the chance to step away from the 7/7 mining life and instead be present with his wife and children, supporting our son as he navigates a neurodiverse world.

That’s why this fundraiser is so meaningful.

Together, our team will EACH be running 70km throughout October, one kilometre for every percent of autistic people who experience mental health challenges.

🧩 Did you know?
👉 Around 70% of autistic people experience mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.
👉 With greater awareness, understanding and community support, we can help change those statistics.

We’ve already had two amazing local teachers join our team, and we’re excited to keep building momentum. Every step we run is for autistic individuals, their families, and the brighter future they deserve.

It’s been WEEKS of rain, and we know many of you are keen to get your lawns back in shape! But here’s why we try to avoid cutting in wet conditions:

🚫 Uneven Cuts – Wet grass doesn’t cut cleanly, leaving an uneven finish.
🌱 Lawn Damage – Mowing on soggy ground can cause ruts, compact the soil, and damage healthy grass.
⚡ Safety First – Slippery conditions can be dangerous for both equipment and operators.
⏳ Waiting for the Ground to Dry – Cutting too soon can tear up the lawn, so we give the soil time to drain properly for a healthier, greener result!
