🧠💚 World Mental Health Day – For All of Us, Especially the Ones Who Carry It Quietly 💚🧠

Today is World Mental Health Day, and it’s a moment to pause, reflect, and remind ourselves — and each other — that mental health matters. Not just today, but every day.

This message is for everyone — but especially for the people who are always “on.”
The tradies.
The men who’ve been taught to “suck it up.”
The solo business owners grinding behind the scenes.
The parents holding it down.
The ones who rarely ask for help, even when they’re running on empty.

You might be the one others lean on. The provider. The fixer. The “strong one.”
But here’s the truth: you’re allowed to struggle.
You’re allowed to have bad days.
You’re allowed to not have it all together.

Mental health isn't weakness — it’s part of being human. And looking after it doesn’t make you soft, it makes you smart.

So if you’re doing it tough, talk to someone. If you see a mate going quiet, reach out. If you’ve been pushing your own needs aside, take a moment — even five minutes — to check in with yourself.

Two Years in Business – Full Time 🙌

Today marks two years since I finished my last shift with my previous employer and made the leap to run this business full time. It was a big decision at the time, but one I’m incredibly grateful for every day.

You'll notice on all my invoices that payment is due on the same day the work is completed or if a larger job I will charge at the end of the week. This isn’t just a policy — it’s what helps me keep the business going and be there when you need help with your next job.

Late payments can make it really tough, especially when I’ve already covered the cost of materials and time. Unlike bigger companies, small trades like mine don’t have a finance team or big buffers — it’s just me!
