Come on down to the Richmond Field Day and have a chat to Tyler.

🌾🚜 Richmond Field Days & Races is back this weekend, and organisers say it means more than ever after a tough start to the year.

Richmond Turf Club President Nick Buick said the event is a chance for people to reconnect, support local businesses, and get away from normal life for a couple of days.

👉"Everyone's had a tough start to the year in many different ways... and I think it's a great chance for people just to come and get connected."

Mr Buick said the event is one of the biggest boosts to Richmond's economy each year, with accommodation booked out and flow-on benefits for pubs, cafes, shops and other local businesses.

"The whole town benefits from an event like this," he said. 🤩

This year's event has close to 100 exhibitors with sites, plus around 20 other businesses attending, and a full program across Friday and Saturday.

Highlights include the bull sale, kids activities, the famous Richmond Mower Race, trade sites, racing, the Ringers Challenge, fireworks and live music.

A little bit of Hughenden history on the move! 🥧🏗️

We said goodbye to the old pie oven from Holden’s Bakery as it was carefully removed to make way for some new technology. It is always a bit bittersweet to remove these historic local staples, but we are proud to be part of the team helping this local business modernise and grow.

Out with the old, in with the new! 🥐✨

Steel has gone up at the Great Western Hotel and the skeleton of the upgrade is officially on show 🔩 This is the stage where a pile of materials turns into a real structure, and you can finally see the scale of what’s to come for this iconic local spot.

We’ve loved this stage, it’s where things start to feel seriously real 😄🏗️

Trends come and go, and a few looks we’ve seen everywhere are quietly fading in 2026 👀✨

Here are a few that designers are moving away from:
• Overly matchy-matchy colour schemes
• Heavy, dark ceiling treatments
• Loud wallpaper everywhere
• Ultra-shiny metallic finishes

The move now is towards calm palettes, natural textures, and spaces that feel timeless rather than trendy 🪵🤍

One of the best parts of working out here? The places the job takes us. Big skies, rugged landscapes, and scenes that make you stop for a minute and just take it all in.

We build homes, sheds, and spaces… but we also get to work in some of the most beautiful corners of the country. Can’t complain about that view 👷‍♂️🏞️

When it comes to building or renovating, what happens before you lay a board or pour concrete matters just as much as what happens after. 🧱

A little preparation goes a long way:
• Check site levels and drainage so water runs away from the home, not towards it.
• Verify soil and foundation conditions to avoid shifting or settling later.
• Plan utility routes early so wiring, plumbing, and drainage are efficient and tidy.

A bit of foresight today can save time, cost, and headaches down the track 🔨👌

Today we’re sharing some love for one of our biggest ongoing projects. Here are a few progress shots of the revamped Shearer’s Quarters 🐏✨

This one has truly been a labour of love. We started back in January 2025, and it’s amazing to see how far this historic accommodation has come with its modern upgrade.

We love giving a piece of history a fresh new chapter.

Do you remember this one? 🤠

This is the early stage of a special project in North West Queensland. What will soon be accommodation for a grazing family was once home to shearers back when the region “rode on the sheep’s back.” 🐏🌾

Upgrading a place with this much history is all about balancing heritage with modern comfort.
