🍐🌶The Alexandra Dehydrator Project has been putting fresh fruit and vegetable scraps from Grant St. Grocer and Alexandra Fruit & Veg through the Worms Downunder worm farm for months now. We recently harvested a whopping 65L of worm tea and over 30kg of worm castings to go back into local soils to produce more locally grown fruits and vegetables. 🥗🍗ReSource Alexandra is an environmental project, from Sustainability Victoria grant funding, taking the food waste from local cafes and businesses and processing it through a dehydrator to turn it into a useable garden product. We are really proud to say that, so far, we have saved over 8 tonnes of organic waste going into landfill and that is at a small, volunteer run scale. Imagine what we could achieve!🥦🍋
