We're Hitting the Road This Sunday!

Manuka Native Nursery is packing up some of our most spectacular, tough and beautiful Australian native plants and heading to the Moonta Queen Square Market this Sunday!🌱

From vibrant flowering natives to hardy, drought tolerant landscape favourites, we'll have a fantastic range of plants ready to help transform your garden into a thriving native haven. Whether you're an experienced gardener or just getting started, we'd love to chat and help you find the perfect plants for your space.

Rain at the nursery always brings a different kind of magic.
Fresh droplets resting on the leaves, the earthy smell of the garden, and the birds happily darting through the trees as everything comes back to life.

These quiet moments are what native landscapes are all about — creating places where plants, birds and people can all slow down and breathe a little deeper. 🍃🐦

Tomorrow we’ll be closed as we take time to be with our families 💚

Mother’s Day can be a beautiful and joyful occasion for many , a time to celebrate, connect, and give thanks. But we also recognise that for others, this day can carry a different weight. It can bring feelings of loss, grief, longing, or remind us of complicated relationships and experiences. For some, it’s a quiet day of reflection rather than celebration.

Wherever this day finds you, we see you. 🌱❤️

Whether you’re celebrating, remembering, missing someone, or simply getting through the day, we hope you can take a moment to be gentle with yourself.

We’ve been plant sitting for a few months and went to deliver recently… popped it into Luke’s car, then spotted something special ...

Tucked safely inside was a nest of White-plumed Honeyeater babies — the offspring of our regular nursery residents. So adorable 😍

These little locals are native to Australia and are busy nectar feeders, helping pollinate a wide range of plants. They’re also insect hunters (great for keeping pests down) and are known for building small, delicate cup-shaped nests tucked into dense foliage — clearly they’ve decided plants in the nursery are prime real estate 😅

Safe to say, the plant came straight back out of Luke’s car. Delivery was on hold… the original residents have priority 🐦❤️

We’ve given them the space they needed and are happy to report that they've flown the nest and are having the time of their lives in the garden.

Build it, and they will come 🌱❤️🦜🐣

Thanks to a lovely little weather reprieve from the recent heat, we’re taking today and tomorrow off to restore order to the nursery and to have a breather...very much needed 🥱

To celebrate the cooler weather, enjoy this video of a blue tongue lizard hydrating like a pro 💙
Fun fact: Blue tongues can store water in their bladder and reabsorb it later when things dry up. Very efficient.

Basically the reptile version of humans “storing fluids” after a few beers… just with fewer bad decisions and no headache the next day 🍺😂

Absolutely loving all the vibrant colours coming through on our Aussie native plants. 😍
It's even better seeing how much life they bring - the birds, bees and lizards are all busy enjoying the garden too.
There's something special about creating a space that feels truly alive. 🌱❤️
