Hey, I'm Jena. 👋

Architect. Researcher. Problem solver.

I spend my days designing homes that perform as beautifully as they look... from high-performance homes to off-grid projects that challenge what's possible.

I'm also a PhD candidate researching the future of sustainable housing, so if I'm not on site or in the studio, you'll probably find me buried in journal articles or testing new ideas.

📸 A little appreciation post for the brilliant Andy Macpherson Andy Macpherson Studio

We recently had Andy photograph some of our projects- including this Uralla off-grid home- and honestly, we couldn't be happier with how the images turned out!! He has an incredible ability to capture not just the architecture, but the feeling of a place. An absolute legend to work! ... and just look at that aperture 😉

Big news. 🌏
My first peer-reviewed paper has been accepted for publication in Applied Energy — one of the world’s leading journals in energy and sustainability. The research examines how architects shape outcomes in off-grid housing, and it’s the foundation for the rest of my PhD.
This is what bridging research and practice looks like — and it’s exactly the work Epic Architecture is built on.
