Unfortunately the season is drawing to an end and we need to start to think about winterising your pools.
We will commence winterising our regular customer’s pools from next week as part of our regular servicing routine. If any casual clients would like to be included in the winterising please get in touch and we will book you in.
It is important to have a winterising treatment as we check your equipment is working ok and give the pool a service whilst adding a winterising long life algaecide to help prevent the pool going green over the winter months. As we get a lot more rain during the winter months this can affect the chemical balance of the pool. The long life algaecide typically lasts 3 months. We also add a clarifier treatment that gets rid of all the unwanted particles that have been accumulated over the summer.
It is also important to keep up the regular maintenance over the winter months to prevent green pools and equipment problems.
Solar blankets should now be removed and protected by an over-cover. If you haven't got an over-cover please contact us for a quote. We also recommend the use of winter covers in areas prone to excessive leaves and debris.

The new S-Pattern delivers a smooth, snake-like cleaning path that is ideal for rectangular and square pools with defined wall bottoms and non-slippery surfaces. It’s designed to optimise floor coverage and give you even more control over how your pool is cleaned.

How it works:

The Standard cleaning pattern remains the default for all cycles started directly from the cleaner.

When starting a Floor Only cycle via the iAquaLink app, you can now select the new S-Pattern mode.

How to access S-Pattern:
✔️ Update your iAquaLink app to the latest version
✔️ Pair your cleaner to the app
✔️ Complete the required over-the-air (OTA) update

Once updated, the new cleaning mode will be available in-app.

The weather is about to get hot!
Here are some tips to keep your pool in top condition during the forecast hot weather:
1. Check your chlorine and pH level every couple of days. Pay particular attention after a period of heavy usage of the pool or after a very hot day and adjust the chlorine output and run-times accordingly.
2. Check and clean your skimmer basket and hair and lint pot in your filtration pump.
3. Keep the pool topped up to half way up the skimmer box.
4. Remove the pool blanket every so often to let the pool breathe and not over heat.
5. Backwash or clean your filtration system regularly.
6. Use a quality algaecide to keep algae at bay
7. Operate the filtration system at six to ten hours a day depending on the pool and pump size.. More during periods of heavy use and very hot days.
8. Keep some liquid chlorine and algeacide on hand to dose the pool if required and prevent any green pools during really hot weather.
