Sire is out of James Parker’s top producing dam, and his dam was a consistent campdrafter and a half sister to Fern Hills Bennett and Dmac’s Daughter. Should mature 15-15.1hh.
2. Bay c**t- Boonara Mentor and out of our super mare Design in Mind (Open drafter). Beautifully balanced c**t, should mature 15hh. Her 1st progeny finalled 4/4 challenge’s in 2025, including Cloncurry top 10 and finished the year off Reserve champion at The Congress.
3. Chestnut c**t- Steel Duck (Metallic Cat) out of Fern Hills Concept (Seligman Spin/ Conman). Concept is a full sister to Bundy Faine’s Carolina Rose and a half sister to Novice drafter Fern Hills Moore Style. Mature 14.3-15hh.

Lot 638 - Fern Hills Barclay 4375(P). - 898 Kg.
Age: 25 Mths. P8 - 11. Rib - 8. EMA - 152. IMF% - 5.7.
Milk Tooth. 39.5 cm Scrotal. 80% - Motility, 80% - Morphology.
64 Straws have been collected and stored at Rocky Repro to go to the successful purchaser.
Dam has had 4 calves @340 days, Grandam 10 @365 days.
We believe Barclay has it all:
Fertility: Dam has now had 5 calves in 5 seasons, his Grandam has a perfect record 10/10.
Longevity & Consistency: He is a naturally produced Sire, as was his Sire and Dam, and as we have found, last's longer in our herd than IVF/ET produced animals.
Presence and type: His Sire Muan Venture 6230(P), now going into his 6th breeding season settles his cows early and produces those lovely soft hair type, easy doing cattle, with the typical Brahman type. His Grandam was also an unbeaten heifer on the show circuit.
Barclay has a tremendous spring of Rib that we feel is a must in any Sire.

Fern Hills was honoured last night to have been awarded Champion Carcase of the inaugural ABBA Feedlot Trial, from approximately 380 steers entered from across Qld. Our group of 5 steers were sired by Fern Hills bred sire’s and out of generation bred Red Brahman females. The take home message from the trial was the outstanding and unmatched return on cost of gain. Congratulations to all who took the time to select and enter cattle in this important commercial showcase.
Fern Hills has 10 Red Brahman heifers selling in the Annual Heart of the Herd sale 27th & 28th August 2025, and 16 outstanding Red Brahman sire’s at RBWS on Wednesday 8th October. Inspection’s are welcomed.
