Cutting Edge Tree Management is a highly regarded Arborist company servicing the Ballarat region. Our customers range from commercial clients, residential and local Councils

Cutting Edge Tree Management is currently looking to fill vacancies for TWO positions.
We have a vacancy for a FULL TIME position, and also a CASUAL / PART TIME position

The ideal candidates will already have some experience in the tree industry and be looking to further their development in the tree industry. Day to day tasks and responsibilities will vary as we actively encourage our personnel to become proficient in all areas of tree work.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with tree removal and or pruning
• Maintenance and operation of machinery, including: chainsaws, woodchippers, stump grinders, EWP towers, excavators etc.
• Communicating with clients
• Maintaining a safety culture

People we are looking for:
• Are physically fit.
• Enjoy different working challenges in an outdoor environment.
• Can communicate effectively and are good team members.
• Want to increase and develop their knowledge and skills in Arboriculture.
• Comply and follow rules and procedures.
• Want to commit to a company that provides a long-term, stable future with the opportunity for growth.

Requirements:
• Current drivers license
• Previous experience in the tree industry
• Chainsaw Operators Certificate and / or experience.

Highly Regarded:
• Qualifications in Arboriculture
• MR Truck license
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) License.
• Tree Climbing qualifications / experience
• Plant operator tickets / experience (skid steer, excavator)
• Be willing to undertake ongoing training and development

We are out treating Elm trees for Elm Leaf Beatle this week. If your Elm trees last year had leaves heavily damaged by these critters, now's the time to get in touch.

Minor damage to the leaves from these beatles is easy to identify by the presence of small holes in leaves (3-5mm diameter). This usually isn't a problem for the trees health, or aesthetics. Although, if untreated, infestation can become more severe in subsequent seasons. (Especially if there are many untreated Elms in the area.

Visually, the remaining leaves on the tree can appear dead. The loss of functioning foliage leads to an inability for photosynthesis to occur efficiently, leading into decline of the tree.
