Arborist – Certificate III qualified or nearing completion.

S.H.A.E Enterprises is seeking an arborist with a passion for tree care to join our Arboriculture team! We are seeking a dedicated individual to help us deliver exceptional arboriculture services to Ballarat and the surrounding area.

About the Role:
You'll be involved in a variety of tree care activities, including:
* Tree pruning in accordance with AS4373 – 2007: Pruning of Amenity Trees
* Tree removal and stump grinding
* Pest and disease management
* Operating and maintaining specialised arboricultural equipment (chainsaws, chippers, EWPs)
* Strict adherence to safety regulations

What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience as an arborist
* Certificate III in Arboriculture (or near completion)
* Tree climbing and rescue competency an advantage but not essential
* Strong commitment to workplace safety
* Physically fit and able to work in various conditions
* Valid manual driver's license HR endorsement
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A desire to help grow the arboriculture department at S.H.A.E Enterprises

SHAE Enterprises has been investigating Avenue of Honours and significant Elm trees in the Central Highlands, Victoria: https://www.shaeenterprises.com.au/elm-leaf-beetle-elb-season-2025-2026/

Historic damage to trees from incorrect treatment methods that has resulted in fungal and bacterial infection of trees, causing some trees to have a reduced life expectancy.

This is a disappointing outcome as Victoria has some of last Elm tree Avenues in the world and we must protect this precious genetic pool.

An Experienced Tradesman / Foreman to lead one of our teams who has experience in Civil infastructure and landscape work.
You will need to be motivated, hardworking and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service - we have great customers and they need to be treated as such
- Delivering outstanding outcomes
- Leading and motivating a team to achieve results on time and on budget
- Civil works/Hard Landscaping (fencing, paving, concreting, decks, retaining walls etc.)
- Soft Landscaping (laying turf, planting, mulching etc.)
- Irrigation installation and setting out
Requirements
- Absolute commitment to flawless results
- Demonstrated experience with meeting targets and managing a team
- A good background of Setting out, Concreting, Excavator and Skid steer use, with a bias towards structural / hard landscaping and construction.
