In recognition of National Volunteer Week, AOPA would like to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of those who give their time and expertise to advance the association and profession. There are many members who could be acknowledged and celebration, and for this year, AOPA would like to thank Lauren Ljiliak.

Lauren has contributed over many years as a member on multiple committees and previous state branches. Unknown to many of you, she has recently been attending monthly workgroup meetings to contribute to the digital health conversation. Additionally, she has dedicated considerable time to working on consistent data terminology and standards for inclusion in Snomed software systems. This involved not only the development of almost 1000 data items for inclusion but attendance at a two-day workshop.

Thank you, Lauren, this is an amazing contribution and will benefit all in the O & P profession for years to come.

The dream team here in Coffs working with one of our fabulous clients.

I love what I get to do each and everyday….help people move better, feel better and function better. But days like these are extra special!🥰 Yesterday this beautiful lady had her first public outing….walking on her new prosthetic leg! Two days ago she wheeled her wheelchair into the cafe but yesterday she walked in!!
Two months ago Deb started a journey with me after having her leg amputated following decades of health battles. Not only has Deb built physical strength and re-learnt how to walk but she’s finding mental toughness and resilience she didn’t think was even possible. So grateful to share this journey with you Deb and you should be so so proud of yourself!! And a big shout out to Erin Prosthetics…so good at what you do!!
