Did you know that Battery operated smoke alarms are no longer considered adequate in NSW and must be replaced with 240v mains wired type alarms by your electrician. LED Downlights are a simple solution to add value to any home. How much will the electrician cost to swap your old plastic lamp holders with modern, bright and stylish LED Downlights? Not as much as you think. Easily interchangeable with halogen fittings, we supply and install an LED light for $100. If you do 10 + we can go to $90.

Each one has a warranty of ten years including the bulb. They come in white or chrome, and standard size is 92mm. Simply measure the existing light diameter : if it’s 100mm or less, they are easily swapped out.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR LISMORE CBD:

An EVACUATION ORDER remains current for Lismore CBD, and North and South Lismore.

NSW SES advise that all residents and business owners are to remain outside of the Lismore CBD until further notice.

After significant flooding, the Lismore CBD is considered dangerous with potential electrical and structural hazards including hazardous materials left behind by receding floodwaters.

There are a number of important assessments that must first be made including:

• Floodwater has drained from the area
• Structural integrity of buildings inspected by Engineering Services
• Energy and essential services inspected by suppliers
• Inspection and removal hazardous materials by Fire and Rescue NSW
• Roads infrastructure and debris clearance of access roads.

NSW SES is working closely with all the functional services to undertake these assessments as quickly as possible in a staged approach.

Once assessments have been completed, NSW SES will issue an 'All Clear' when it is deemed safe for residents and businesses to return.
