Our biggest of the year so far - 16m span, 33.33 m long in 10 bays and 5m to the eave, this one was commissioned by our local hot air ballooning company for the storage of their basket/trailer and Landcruiser combos.
Clad in Stramit Monoclad profile sheeting, Shale Grey walls and doors, Zincalume roof and trimmed with Nightsky barges and gutters to set it off.
To maximise the openings on the doors the client opted for nine Eltrak sliders hung on double tracks to give a trailer friendly 3.1m opening width, and of course the added benefit of speed of opening over a chain drive roller door can't be ignored either!
There's a mezzanine in the end bay to give additional storage over the workshop bay, and the shed is insulated in the roof and sun facing walls against the hot Queensland sun.
Many thanks to our partners at Northern Consulting Engineers for a suitable slab design to meet the brief on what proved to be probably the worst soil we have encountered (the piers go down 2.7m and the amount of steel in the slab was impressive!); to our friends at Timmel Concreting for the amazing job on the concreting and block walls and to Rob of Robs Shed Building who did an awesome job to get the shed up and completed on a very tight time-frame so the client could meet his commitments.
