Scaevola aemula ‘White’ 🤍
A cheerful groundcover to brighten the garden, with masses of delicate white fan-shaped flowers blooming from spring right through to autumn.

Plant Highlights:
• Height/Spread: To 70 cm high, spreading groundcover
• Habit: Small evergreen with spreading or upright stems
• Leaves: Small, smooth foliage
• Flowers: White fan flowers borne over a long season
• Position: Full sun to part shade
• Soil: Moist, well‑drained soil; drought tolerant once established

A much-loved Australian native, Scaevola aemula ‘White’ is perfect for covering bare ground, cascading over walls, spilling from hanging baskets or softening landscaped edges. Its long flowering period and easy-care nature make it a reliable choice for gardens big and small.

🌿 Keep soil moist during establishment and protect from frost and waterlogging for best results.

Please note the Belair nursery will be open as usual tomorrow, however Queens Jubilee Drive may be affected by smoke.

Follow Environment SA News for up-to-date information on prescribed burns happening in your area this autumn.

A prescribed burn is planned at Belair National Park on Wednesday, weather conditions permitting.

The prescribed burn is in the eastern area of the park along Queens Jubilee Drive. It will start at 11am and is likely to be completed by 7pm. Smoke may be visible within the burn area for several days.

◾ The area to be burnt is 8.2 hectares.
◾ This is a landscape protection burn.
◾ Queens Jubilee Drive will be affected by smoke during the burn, and walkers using this trail near the burn area may face delays as they will need to be escorted when it is safe to do so.
◾ Other minor trails in the park might be affected by smoke, depending on prevailing winds.

National Parks and Wildlife Service South Australia (NPWS) crews will remain on site until safe.

NPWS conducts a statewide program of prescribed burns to reduce the spread and intensity of bushfires, protect communities and enhance biodiversity.

Prescribed burning is just one tool used to reduce fuel loads across strategic areas of public and private land.

Prescribed burns will only be carried out when it is deemed safe to do so and may be cancelled at short notice.
