Wonderful to catch up with fabulous friends from Melbourne and attend WOW!house 2026 as VIP Guests of Schumacher at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour.

I know first hand how much design, planning and installation goes into creating spaces on this scale, congratulations to all Designer’s involved, quite remarkable. With so much detail at every turn I captured my personal highlights, not to mention a little of the fun and humour between Cristina and I as we walked through the interiors.

Sometimes the best gifts are the ones you give to yourself. Today was one of those days, a treat to visit the V&A Storehouse in East London.

An extraordinary purpose-built storage / gallery facility, offering unprecedented, behind-the-scenes access to over half a million of the Victoria and Albert Museum’s creative works, archives, antiques, contemporary furniture and objects that are typically hidden from view.

I love that the V&A offers visitors a pre booked ‘Order an Object’ service to have items from the thousands of stored pieces (including the David Bowie memorabilia held on site) to be brought from storage and personally examined up close.

The scale of the environment and vast array of pieces on display was astonishing.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes and messages. Another lap around the Sun, feeling very special to be celebrating this year in London.

Of course I had to return to one of my old time favourite restaurants. The Wolseley at Piccadilly, followed by a walk after dinner past the boutique windows to Piccadilly Circus, the vibrancy and bustling crowd that gathers never gets old.. still exactly the same energy as when first visiting London nearly 30 years ago.🇬🇧🥂

With the menu and food as good as I remember the key word of the day was clearly wow!
London 9:30pm, 24 degrees.

Like a scene from a period movie.. we traveling north and took lodgings at a Manor House for the evening.

Built in the late 19th century as a hunting lodge for an Aristocrat living in excile from France the remarkable fully wood paneled interior was a treat with hand carved castellations and Coat of Arms detail at every turn through the house. We took a stroll through the garden before heading in to dine at the Michelin Star restaurant.⭐️

My witty take on the famous movie line says.. ‘That’s not a view, this is a view! 🎥

Always so much to love, contemplate and gaze upon at Rousham.

It is well known that VJD loves a theatrical moment. So combine classical architectural follies with georgian haha walls and water rills, not to mention an over scaled dove cote and greenhouse in a naturalistic park landscape, all the boxes are ticked for me!

With my fascination for Roman Mythology, returning to visit the wonderful sculptural Faun that stands in the untamed woodland is always an anticipated highlight I look forward to.

So nice to visit my dear friend at her gorgeous home near Stoke on Trent. Candida and I were friends and colleagues at a design, furnishings firm in New Zealand in the mid-late 1990s. Out and about decorating clients houses and furnishing display homes for high end developers primarily in Remuera, Kohimarima, St Heliers and Auckland’s inner suburbs. So much fun reminiscing!

Immensely talented & creative in the arts. Initially a pottery designer for famed English Churchill Potters est 1795. Candida can do it all, graphic design, interior design, sketching and painting, not to mention acting on the theatrical stage.. it goes without saying Candi left an inspirational imprint on me in my career.

Her top says it all ‘Art Director’.❤️

I’m not sure if I am a kid in a candy store or a Designer in a reclaimed stone yard.

Wonderful to visit this supplier today. I am always sourcing this genre of product for my client’s homes in Australia and my own VJD creative studio in Trentham, Victoria.

If you see something you love, message me all is available.🇬🇧

A return to Iford Manor Estate & Gardens feels like a pilgrimage each time we return to the UK.

Soft whimsical planting, balanced with structured clipped hedges and weathered stone architecture equals perfection for me!

This is our first visit to the garden since the robbery of the four iconic bronze sculptures including the SheWolf that had stood overlooking the valley for 125 years before they was taken from the garden in the middle of the night, mid 2025.

It feels astonishing trying to comprehend individuals could be so selfish to take such identifiable pieces from such a high profile space knowing they can never be viewed or appreciated in public again.

(Can you help..)
See my last four images & stories for more details and images of the four iconic stolen bronze sculptures that are still missing.

The team are lford Manor Gardens are hopeful they will one day be returned.🙏🏻

Following a busy week in London we decided to head to the Cotswolds. Loving our stay at the ‘Hare & Hounds’ just out of Tetbury, even our bathroom has an enchanting view from the window. Not to mention the wonderful warm and comfortable - quirky - country interior throughout the hotel.

Of course we couldn’t miss the photo opportunity to be captured on the over-scaled lounger on the lawn, what fun! 🇬🇧😘
